At Hazel The Salon, each and every individual is a vital part of our salon, from Stylists, Nail Techs, and our Assistants. As we connect with clients, you, as an Assistant, act as the voice of Hazel The Salon and support our Stylists and every team member so they can thrive in their work. We have a supportive work environment where every team member is valued and heard.
Having excellent communication skills and being detail-oriented as you manage appointments, oversee stylists’ schedules, direct salon protocol, and follow salon systems. Whie also helping hands on and learning from various members of our team by assisting them in different areas.

Our Interview Process
At Hazel The Salon, we are very intentional in our hiring process. We're focused on finding the right member for our team. Therefore, we've broken down some steps you can expect when applying.​

Receiving Your Application: We will follow up via email once we receive your application and additional support materials emailed to us.

Phone Interview: Based on our initial email contact, we will schedule a 15-20-minute phone interview to review some details about you and us! We're vital to saving time, and we find that these work well before having you go through an entire interview process.

Shadowing Day: You're interviewing us just as much as we're interviewing you. We would love you to come in to see our space and vibe! A shadowing day can last between 1 to 3 hours and will be communicated with you via email after your phone interview.

Interview: During your shadowing day, we will decide if we would like to proceed with a formal interview with some of the key team members at Hazel; sometimes, depending on where you are in your career, we may do a practical interview instead of a traditional sit-down.
