Our Hiring & Interview Process
At Hazel The Salon, we are very intentional in our hiring process. We focus on finding the right member(s) for our team. We've broken down some steps below that you could expect when applying.​
At Hazel, we accept rolling applications. This means that if you apply and we aren't hiring at the moment, don't get discouraged–we will keep your application on file for when we are! We ask that if your application changes during this time frame, you just send us an email.
Phone Interview
Based on our initial email contact, we will schedule a 15-20-minute phone interview to review some details about you and us! We're vital to saving time, and we find that these work well before having you go through an entire interview process.
Shadowing Day
You're interviewing us just as much as we're interviewing you. We would love you to come in to see our space and vibe! A shadowing day can last between 1 to 3 hours and will be communicated with you via email after your phone interview.
Interview
During your shadowing day, we will decide if we would like to proceed with a formal interview with some of the key team members at Hazel; sometimes, depending on where you are in your career, we may do a practical interview instead of a traditional sit-down.
Everyone is different; these steps could and may vary depending on who you are as a person and where you are in your career! We wanted to provide these as a guideline for what you could expect when submitting an application with us. We look forward to meeting you!
