What makes Hazel different from other salons?

In many salons, stylists rent a chair and run as independent businesses, setting their own standards, products, and education. At Hazel, every team member is a full employee with benefits, ongoing education, and a shared commitment to the standards that define Hazel. Whether it's your first appointment or your fiftieth, and whether you're here for hair, nails, or spa services, you're with someone held to our training standards, supported by our team, and using professional products. It also means we can stand behind every service we provide.
Where is Hazel located, and what towns do you serve?

We're at 634 North Main Street in East Longmeadow, MA, just minutes from Longmeadow, Springfield, and Hampden, and an easy drive from Enfield and Somers, Connecticut. Guests come to Hazel from across the Pioneer Valley.
Do you have on-site parking?

Yes! We're located in a plaza with plenty of free parking. As the corner unit, we're also close to the accessible parking spaces and the sidewalk ramp.
Do you have Wi-Fi, and can I work during my appointment?

Yes, and yes! We offer complimentary guest Wi-Fi; just ask a team member for the password when you arrive. While we'd love for you to relax, we know that sometimes it's easier to multitask, so we have laptop desks that fit our chairs.
What amenities do you offer?

We offer water, coffee (caffeinated and decaf), and plenty of tea flavors, plus hot chocolate in the colder months and a variety of snacks during your appointment. A laptop desk is available if you need one. A team member will check in on you, and you're always welcome to ask for anything.
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit and debit cards. Checks can be made payable to Hazel The Salon. We don't accept Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal, and our team members can't receive tips through those apps.

Can I book an appointment with a specific hair stylist at Hazel?

Yes! While we're a team-focused salon, you're always welcome to request your preferred stylist. No matter who you see on our team, you'll get consistent results backed by our whole team's expertise and training standards.
How do I choose the best hair stylist in East Longmeadow, MA?

Which hair extension methods does Hazel offer?

We offer four methods: beaded I-tip and flat-tip, tape-ins, hand-tied wefts, and keratin (K-tip). Our certified extension specialists are trained in each one, and because we don't tie ourselves to a single brand or method, we choose what fits your hair and your lifestyle.
Is the extension consultation really complimentary?

Yes. Every extension consultation at Hazel is complimentary. We look at your hair's health, talk through your goals, and go over pricing so you know exactly what to expect.
How much do hair extensions cost at Hazel?

Hair extensions aren't one size fits all. We offer complimentary consultations where our certified specialists assess your hair and create a custom plan tailored to your goals and budget. It's the best way to find the right type of extensions for your hair, and we'll also go over maintenance appointments during that consultation.
Which extension method is best for fine hair?

Beaded I-tip and flat-tip extensions work well on fine to thick hair because they're applied with small silicone-lined beads, with no heat or adhesive. Tape-ins and hand-tied wefts usually suit medium to thick hair. Your consultation is where we confirm the right fit.
How often do hair extensions need maintenance?

It depends on the method. Beaded extensions are adjusted every 4 to 6 weeks, tape-ins are reinstalled every 4 to 8 weeks, hand-tied wefts are adjusted every 6 to 10 weeks, and keratin extensions are replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on care and hair type.
What is builder gel (BIAB)?

Builder gel is a strengthening gel applied over your natural nails to create a durable, protective layer. It's thicker than gel polish and gentler than acrylic, which is why guests with weak or brittle nails use it to grow out their natural length.
How often do I need a builder gel infill?

Most guests come back every 2 to 3 weeks. An infill fills in your growth and rebalances the shape, so you keep the strength without starting over.
What's the difference between an infill and a new set?

An infill builds on builder gel that's still in good shape. A soak-off and new set starts fresh, which makes sense when you're coming from another product or another salon.
Can I get nail art with builder gel?

Yes. Anything from a simple accent to a fully custom design can go on top of a builder gel set.
Do you also do brow waxing and tinting?
